Job Description


Role Overview


In this position, you will play a key role in managing the company’s overall accounting operations, ensuring financial records are accurate, complete, and compliant with relevant standards. You will also support effective cash flow monitoring and work closely with various stakeholders across the business and external parties to ensure smooth financial operations and compliance requirements are consistently met.


Key Responsibilities


  • Prepare and submit periodic financial reports (monthly, quarterly, and annual), including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports, while conducting variance analysis to support management decision-making

  • Support annual budgeting and forecasting activities, monitor actual performance against budget, and work with relevant teams to explain and manage variances

  • Manage group consolidation processes, including intercompany eliminations and reconciliations, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and reporting timelines

  • Oversee tax-related matters such as tax computations, submissions, and coordination with external tax agents, ensuring full statutory and regulatory compliance

  • Coordinate and support internal and external audit processes, including preparation of audit schedules, documentation, and resolution of audit queries

  • Support continuous improvement of financial systems and reporting tools (including SAP/ERP), driving process efficiency, accuracy, and stronger internal controls

  • Supervise and guide junior accounting staff, ensuring quality deliverables, proper task execution, and adherence to internal policies

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and analysis that support business and operational decisions

  • Assist senior finance management in daily accounting operations, including review of full set accounts and timely preparation of management reports

  • Undertake any additional tasks or ad-hoc assignments as required by management in a fast-paced and evolving environment


Requirements


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional qualification (ACCA/CPA/MIA or equivalent) is preferred

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably within property development or related industries

  • Strong understanding of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and statutory compliance requirements

  • High level of accuracy with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, able to work with multiple stakeholders

  • Able to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
