Job Description

The Assistant Director – Reporting & Data Analytics is a strategic finance business partner, responsible for delivering critical financial insights, advanced analytics, and technology-driven reporting solutions. This role supports executive leadership in strategic decision-making by managing the end-to-end delivery of leadership reporting, analysis, and actionable insights on business performance. The position requires a blend of financial expertise and business acumen, along with analytical rigor and technical proficiency, with a strong focus on stakeholder engagement and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting & Analytics Leadership

  • Service delivery management and team management.
  • Lead the design, development, and delivery of executive-level reporting, integrating financial, operational, and market data to provide a holistic view of business performance.
  • Oversee the creation of interactive dashboards and data visualizations using Power BI and other advanced analytics tools to deliver business insights.
  • Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of all reporting deliverables, supporting cyclical processes such as forecasting, planning, and revenue analysis.
  • Champion the adoption of automation, AI, and advanced analytics to drive innovation in financial reporting and insights.

Data Analysis & Insight Generation

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of complex data sets to extract meaningful insights and inform business decisions.
  • Develop financial, revenue, and predictive models; perform trend and scenario analysis to forecast business outcomes.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for performance improvement, such as pipeline coverage, profitability, investments, and expense controls.
  • Translate analytical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for senior leadership.

Technology & Process Excellence

  • Manage end-to-end data flows, including ETL, data cleansing, validation, modelling, and documentation.
  • Leverage SQL, Power BI, and advanced Excel for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in business intelligence, data analytics, and financial systems.

Stakeholder Management & Communication

  • Collaborate with global finance, business, and technology teams to align analytics and reporting with organizational goals and maintain effective and timely communication with stakeholders.
  • Prepare and deliver impactful presentations and communications for executive and non-technical audiences.
  • Build trusted relationships with diverse stakeholders, influencing without direct authority and harmonizing divergent interests.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Act as a coach and mentor to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
  • Lead cross-functional projects, managing multiple priorities in a dynamic, global environment.

  • Proactive, self-motivated, and comfortable with ambiguity.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Information Science, Data Analytics, or related fields.
  • 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in business analysis, financial reporting and analytics.
  • Strong spoken and written English.
