The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the UK Finance Director, this role manages daily financial operations, acting as a liaison between the share service centre, the local finance department, sales and Marketing departments, vendors, and clients. Key responsibilities include processing invoices and expense claims, reconciling accounts, invoice matching, cost allocation, and supporting month-end closing.

What you'll get to do

• Liaise with the HQ Shared Service Centre to ensure timely and accurate execution of monthly Purchase orders, before month-end and year-end closings, including all required validations.
• Provide a variety of recordkeeping services including but not limited to accounts payable, payroll, benefits and general ledger.
• Ensure that the invoice matching activities between AR and rebates are timely recorded in Gross-to-Net (G2N) software.
• Additional activities include providing back-up administrative support as needed.
• Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and proper documentation of financial records in compliance with local legal requirements and company policies and procedures.
• Manage departmental purchase orders and oversee invoice coding and accrual management.
• Prepare monthly credit and debit card statements and ensure that the cost is allocated to the correct department.
• Ensure strong internal financial controls across all operations in accordance with company guidelines and audit standards.
• Support the Finance Director during internal and external audits.
• Assist the Finance Director in safeguarding overall company profitability by monitoring costs.
• Ensure periodic PO Training for new joiners

• Relevant experience as accountant preferably in Retail or FMCG industries

• Accounting background is desirable
• Financial and Business acumen, reliable partner, challenger, autonomous
• Strong communication skills
• Strong Analytical skills
• Curiosity and high level of energy
• Upper Intermediate Excel user
• SAP knowledge desirable
