Main purpose of position

Currently we are looking for a Finance & Asset Manager, in Bucharest Romania to be part of our global team working together towards our vision – Improving our future.

As our Finance & Asset Manager, you will take the lead in financially and operationally optimizing the portfolio. This includes monitoring and execution of all commercial and administrative tasks, commitments, responsibilities, and undertakings belonging to each Project Company, from start of construction and throughout operations phase.

Main responsibilities

  • Drive financial and operational performance, profits and improvements.
  • Refinancing, plant performance improvements, contract renegotiations etc.
  • Monitoring of project level profit & loss (P&L) activities
  • Ensure that the power plants are delivering expected financial returns, analysis of P&L variance, CF Forecast and solar plants budget review
  • Take full ownership by analysing the variation proposals received from the O&M or EPC Contractors, review and prepare cost estimates related to corrective maintenance, spare parts and warranties.
  • Project Insurance administration
  • Update the Financial Models, prepare and update necessary periodic financial and cash budgets and carry out the budget-to-actual variance analysis.
  • Contract Management – manage and administer all contracts between the project companies and third parties (EPC, O&M, MSA, Concession Agreement, Offtake, Lenders, etc)
  • Maintain a correct and complete filing and project management system and all statutory registers and do all statutory filings Liaise with, amongst others, technical, legal and regulatory, financial, accounting and tax, environmental and social, or insurance advisers.
  • Support VP F&AM in interaction with the Boards of Directors of the SPV’s, social and economic development advisors as well as the EPC and O&M Contractors.

Qualifications and competencies

  • A degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent
  • Management Accounting, MBA, or Chartered Accountant Qualification
  • 7 years of working experience in finance, project/asset management or project finance-related banking or advisory, corporate finance or controlling.
  • Corporate governance and Board Reporting/presentations; experience with administration of project-financed agreement
  • International experience or working in foreign-owned subsidiaries is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in understanding and budgeting cashflows
  • Proficiency in understanding financial modelling and analysis
  • Asset management experience in the renewable/construction industry
  • Strong Project Management of large-scale renewable or construction projects
  • Experience in the renewable industry, oil and gas, real estate or infrastructure sectors.
  • High Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Fluent in English & Romanian (written & spoken)
  • Should be available and accustomed to travel domestically
  • Must be able to work in an open plan environment
  • Must be able to work extended hours when required
