We are seeking a motivated accounting student who is keen to apply the knowledge of accounting principles, tax knowledge and data analytic skills in a private bank. This is a good opportunity for those who are keen in pursuing and exploring a career in the Finance/Accounting department in the private banking sector.
During the 30-week program, you will have ample opportunities to build up knowledge and acquire real work experience and job-relevant skills.
You can expect the following:
1) Receive guidance from a dedicated mentor and the subject matter experts, experienced Finance/Accounting professionals within the team, including the following:
Learn about LGT business and the roles & responsibilities of the Finance Department.
Have an overview and hands on experience using the systems and tools used by Finance Department in our day-to-day business.
2) Provide assistance and participate in practical assignments with involvement in at least two of the various pillars of the APAC Finance organisation, comprising Strategy and Planning, Accounting and Controlling, Tax Advisory and Governance, Regulatory Reporting, and Performance Management, such as:
Hands-on execution of day-to-day tasks.
Initiatives to enhance the use of Data analytics.
Opportunities to interact with colleagues within the APAC region.
Opportunities to involve in projects.
3) Propose business process improvement and streamlining of key reports:
Use relevant tools to help in data gathering and analysis.
Develop recommendation (if any) based on the data gathered.
You may also stand a chance to present your internship experience to the Finance team (including the CFO) at the end of your internship.
Undergraduate in the penultimate year majoring in Accounting or Finance
Highly motivated individual with a keen interest in the private banking industry and open to acquire new skills ▪ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong numerical, analytical and presentation skills
Embrace teamwork with a collaborative mindset
Determined and committed to take responsibilities
Ability to adapt and work in a fast-paced environment
Good understanding of Accounting and Tax principles, as well as open to acquire knowledge in statutory legislation and regulations
Proficient in MS Excel, Power BI will be considered a plus
