As a Finance Apprentice based in Warwick, you’ll be responsible for:
Transactional Support;
Understand and administer the work routines and procedures for transactional support, identify expired and expiring contracts, liaise with relevant stake holders to rectify, set up new contracts in our operational systems
Margin Recovery;
Identify, analyse and resolve margin weaknesses, measure and report business benefit(s) from margin improvement activities
Customer Rebates;
Administer the workflow relating to the rebate process, evaluate customer rebate proposal, understand how to propose a rebate which is a ‘win’ for both us and our customer
Business Unit Support;
Provide support to the Business Unit operational & sales teams, support the WUK businesses to deliver profitable growth, month end tasks (including journals, review of results and forecasting)
Performance Management and Reporting;
Understand key financial measures, understand the Wolseley company structure, produce weekly and monthly management reporting
You’ll be completing a structured training plan, gaining exposure to all areas of finance, as above. This will be complimented by a Level 7 ACCA Apprenticeship, where you will be provided time each week to complete your training activities.
This is a full-time, permanent role working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday between 8am - 5pm.

Experience of working with computers, particularly Excel
Good communication skills
Ability to prioritise
A minimum of 3 B’s at A-Level, including one of Maths, Economics, Business Studies or Accounting
