We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Accounts Payable/Receivable Entry Professional to manage and process financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all accounting records for Hitachi, Ltd. This role is crucial for maintaining healthy financial operations and supporting both vendor and customer relationships.
Job Responsibilities:**
* Process a high volume of accounts payable invoices, ensuring proper coding, authorization, and matching with purchase orders and receiving reports.
* Prepare and process electronic payments and checks for vendor invoices.
* Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
* Generate and distribute customer invoices accurately and promptly.
* Monitor accounts receivable to identify overdue accounts and initiate collection efforts.
* Process and apply customer payments, including checks, electronic transfers, and credit card payments.
* Maintain accurate and organized financial records, ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
* Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations and reporting.
* Communicate effectively with internal departments, vendors, and customers regarding financial inquiries.
* Identify and suggest improvements to accounts payable and receivable processes for increased efficiency.
Job Qualifications:**
* High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
* 1-3 years of experience in an Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable role.
* Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
* Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
* Excellent data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to issue resolution.
