Our client is a foreign-owned manufacturing company specializing in the production of premium coconut shell charcoal briquettes for domestic and international markets. Backed by founding partners with more than 20 years of industry experience, the company operates a manufacturing facility in Central Java with its head office in Dubai, UAE.

The company focuses on producing high-quality charcoal briquettes for B2B customers across consumer goods, industrial, and export markets. With an emphasis on consistent product quality, operational efficiency, and sustainable growth, the organization is strengthening its financial and operational governance to support its expanding manufacturing activities.

Operating in a factory-based environment, the company requires strong financial controls covering accounting, budgeting, purchasing, inventory, cost management, and tax compliance. The Finance & Accounting Manager will play a key role in establishing reliable financial systems and providing management with accurate financial insights to support operational and strategic decision-making.


Job Role

The Finance & Accounting Manager is a managerial position responsible for overseeing the company's finance and accounting operations, with a strong focus on financial control, budgeting, cost management, inventory reconciliation, tax compliance, and management reporting.

This role will lead the finance and accounting team while establishing and maintaining effective financial systems to support factory operations. The position will also provide management with accurate cost reports, profit and loss statements, forecasts, and annual financial reporting.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on finance professional with strong accounting knowledge, leadership capabilities, and experience working in a manufacturing environment. The role requires someone who can manage day-to-day finance operations while also identifying opportunities to improve profitability, efficiency, internal controls, and resource utilization.


Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain accounting, budgeting, purchasing, inventory, and financial control systems.
  • Lead, manage, train, and supervise the finance and accounting team.
  • Prepare monthly cost reports, quarterly P&L statements, annual financial reports, and management reports.
  • Develop and manage annual budgets and financial forecasts for different departments.
  • Review and approve purchases while monitoring expenses and maintaining effective cost controls.
  • Conduct and supervise daily, weekly, monthly, and annual account reconciliations and inventory/stock verification.
  • Coordinate with independent auditors and support the company's audit requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal financial policies.
  • Monitor financial performance and evaluate profitability, operational efficiency, processes, and resource utilization.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to senior management to support business and operational decisions.


Candidate Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in finance or accounting, with proven experience in a managerial, supervisory, or team leadership capacity.
  • Experience in manufacturing, factory operations, or a similar industrial environment is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, taxation, General Ledger (GL), financial reporting, budgeting, reconciliation, and accounting software.
  • Hands-on experience with transfer pricing is required.
  • Strong financial analytical, problem-solving, and cost-control capabilities.
  • Experienced in managing and developing finance or accounting teams.
  • Highly responsible, detail-oriented, and committed to financial accuracy and compliance.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Professional-level English proficiency, both written and spoken.
  • Willing to work on-site in Semarang and support factory/site requirements as needed.
