
Designation: Finance Analyst (Functional and System)
Location: Colombo, Sri Lanka
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical finance professional to join our team in Colombo, Sri Lanka, as a Finance Analyst. The ideal candidate should have strong accounting systems knowledge, able to support ERP finance operations across multiple entities, and be proactive, technically skilled, and capable of working collaboratively with global teams. What Would Your Day Look Like?
If appointed, you will support finance teams across the GAC Group by ensuring the smooth functioning of the ERP financial system, assisting with accounting-related queries, testing reports and system enhancements, and coordinating with Group Business Control and IT teams. You will also prepare system documentation, train users on finance modules, support automation initiatives, and assist with analytics and reporting using tools such as Power BI.
Key Responsibilities
Support and manage ERP finance system operations and related accounting functions
Test system reports, enhancements and new module implementations
Conduct UAT testing and assist with system improvements and automation projects
Prepare finance manuals, SOPs, user guides and training documentation
Train finance teams and support users on accounting system processes
Assist offices with invoicing, journals, payroll, accruals and other accounting entries
Support Power BI reporting and analytics initiatives
Coordinate with Group Business Control and IT teams on finance system matters
Ensure compliance with group accounting policies and procedures
What Are We Looking For?
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or a related field
Preferably semi-qualified ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent professional qualification
Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting and/or financial systems environments
Experience working with ERP systems and accounting software is required
Other Skills
Strong knowledge of accounting systems, Power BI and MS Office applications
Excellent English communication skills
Advanced Excel and analytical skills
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
Ability to learn and adapt to new software quickly
Good coordination and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
