Join Shell's Finance Operations team and play a key role in supporting financial, accounting, reporting, and operational processes that help power our global energy business. As an Analyst, you'll work with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial and operational data, support compliance with accounting standards and controls, and contribute to delivering reliable business insights.

What you’ll be doing

May operate across one or more areas within Finance Operations including: accounting, inventory management and valuation, reporting and analysis, financial settlement, and other core finance processes.

Accounting Exchanges

Supports daily operations across one or more process areas, including Contracts & Pricing, Exchanges, Stock Recording & Reconciliation, and Stock Valuation. Ensures the accuracy and integrity of transactions and financial data, drives efficient end-to-end process execution, proactively resolves operational issues, and contributes to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance business performance and operational excellence.

Stock Recording & Reconciliation (SRR)

Focuses on inventory accounting by recording, validating, and reconciling inventory movements across Shell-operated and third-party storage locations. Collaborates with commercial stakeholders to ensure inventory transactions are accurately reflected in our financial records and comply with accounting policies and controls.

Reporting & Analysis (R&A)

Primarily involves in executing operational activities in end-to-end Fixed Assets accounting, Group Reporting, Joint Venture reporting and other business reporting activities. Ensures compliance with Group and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), US accounting principles, and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) reporting requirements.

Trading Settlements & Accounting (TSA)

Enables Shell's trading business by managing the financial settlement, accounting, and reporting of commodity transactions. Working closely with commercial and finance stakeholders, the team helps ensure accurate transaction processing, financial integrity, and operational excellence across global trading operations.

What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Open to fresh graduates and professionals with up to 3 years of experience
  • Fundamental knowledge of financial accounting principles (e.g., journal entries, revenue recognition, accruals and provisions, and account reconciliations)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders
  • Basic digital proficiency in Excel essentials (formulas, pivot tables, data analysis)
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP) and data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, PowerApps) is an advantage
  • Highly analytical with strong problem-solving capabilities and a proactive approach to process improvement and automation
  • Great attention to detail and committed to maintain data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with company standards
  • Willing to work on either mid or night shift schedule (Manila time)
