Job Description

YOUR OPPORTUNITY

You will be responsible for supporting top-tier forecasting and strategy. Your main duties will include offering proactive and actionable insights by analyzing financial and commercial performance in the Middle East and Africa region.

You will play a key role in reviewing commercial performance, identifying risks and opportunities, and delivering actionable insights during our weekly, monthly, and quarterly meetings. Additionally, you will work closely with the commercial teams to monitor depletion performance and ensure accurate forecasting practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • As the primary contact in the MEA Finance Business Performance Team, this role involves close collaboration with the MEA Finance Analyst, Senior Manager of Business Performance, Finance Director, Managing Director, Area Directors, and their commercial teams. The focus is on forward-looking analysis, value-generating insights, and performance reporting related to commercial strategies.
  • Support with the MEA monthly forecast process, refreshing of actuals, GTN and COGS.
  • Monthly deep-dive review sessions with commercial team’s on forecast.
  • Build tools that are purpose led for commercial teams that help to aid decision making.
  • Be at the forefront of providing strategic analysis and practical direction MEA to ensure maximisation of brand value (gross profit) per overall strategy.
  • Drive RGM agenda in MEA, build P&Ls for innovations and business cases. Support commercial team with reviewing discount proposals.
  • Analyze and review the commercial forecast against market and brand trends, challenging the commercial team where necessary to ensure forecast accuracy.
  • WBS creation and A&P Budget load.
  • Review of Rebates/A&P for ROI purposes on a quarterly basis.
  • Refreshing open order Sales report monthly.
  • Assist and support Annual Planning, Business Reviews, and QBRs.
  • Lead & Develop Finance training curriculum to commercial team.
  • Exhibit sound judgment and manage details while maintaining a broader perspective for solution alignment.
  • Actively contribute to business cycles through planning, budgeting, and performance reviews, while assessing risks and opportunities, identifying drivers, and proposing solutions. Supporting MEA Finance in becoming more proactive instead of reactive.
  • Consistently assess risks and opportunities by analyzing industry trends to deliver commercial insights to the wider organization.
  • Takes a support role executing ad-hoc projects.
  • Become the subject matter expert for usage of internal/external data systems, including training on reporting cadence, tools, and solutions.
  • Be the agent of change to move the MEA team from intuitive to fact based, data driven decision making.

SKILLS

  • 5+ years in finance with a current role as Finance Analyst or the equivalent experience at a Big 4 Accountancy Firm
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related discipline is required. Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) or equivalent (e.g., CIMA, ACCA) certification is an advantage
  • Confident & proficient in the use of SAP TM1, BI, MS Office with advanced Excel & PowerPoint skills.
  • Excellent English level. Proficiency in multiple languages is a plus
  • Solid Financial Acumen, strong Analytical background, technical skills, data savvy, ability to execute strategies in market appropriately
  • Experience in multinational corporation, in spirits and/or fast-moving consumer goods industry is an advantage.
