Job Description

Technology & Change Finance Analyst

Location: Manchester – Hybrid
Contract: 6-month fixed-term contract

Are you a part-qualified or newly qualified finance professional who enjoys turning complex data into clear, commercially useful insight?

We are looking for a Technology & Change Finance Analyst to join our Finance team on a six-month fixed-term contract. Supporting a significant Technology and Change portfolio, you will provide high-quality cost analysis, forecasting and reporting to help senior stakeholders understand performance, manage investment and make informed decisions.

This is a fast-paced and varied role where you will work closely with Finance, Technology, Change and Controllership teams, supporting a technology cost base of approximately £100 million.

The role

You will:

  • Deliver financial planning, forecasting, reporting and analysis across Technology and Change costs, investments and programmes.
  • Provide clear insight into cost performance, strategic investment and the impact on EBITDA.
  • Support robust month-end, year-end and forecasting processes in partnership with Controllership.
  • Review and challenge project and programme business cases, including assumptions, costs, benefits, risks and expected returns.
  • Assess the financial impact of scope changes, delivery risks, opportunities and system implementations.
  • Track project spend, investment delivery and benefit realisation across the change portfolio.
  • Support major technology implementations, operating model changes and process redesign initiatives.
  • Maintain and improve forecasting models, reporting materials, governance processes and financial controls.
  • Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and become a trusted finance partner to non-finance teams.
  • Produce accurate, timely and easily understood reporting that supports effective decision-making.

What we are looking for

You will be:

  • A part-qualified or qualified accountant
  • Experienced in financial planning, forecasting, reporting and analysis.
  • Highly organised and methodical, with the ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Confident working with complex data and presenting clear, straightforward conclusions.
  • A strong communicator who can influence and challenge stakeholders constructively.
  • Comfortable partnering with Technology, Change and other non-finance teams.
  • Credible when working with senior management.
  • A proactive self-starter with a strong sense of urgency and follow-through.
  • Advanced in Excel, with strong PowerPoint skills.

Experience supporting technology costs, change programmes, process improvement or system implementation would be particularly advantageous.

Why join us?

This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to a substantial Technology and Change portfolio and work closely with senior stakeholders across Finance and the wider business. You will have the opportunity to influence investment decisions, improve reporting and governance, and help ensure major change initiatives deliver measurable value.
