Financial Analyst (Secret Clearance)

We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join the Airborne Mission Solutions Organization within the Defense Group. This position directly supports the Army Transportation Command (ARTRANS) and the Army Intermodal Deployment Management Office (AIDPMO) at Scott AFB, Illinois, contributing to global readiness and transportation operations across the Department of Defense.

THE CHALLENGE

  • Financial Oversight — Manage funds associated with leased containers and intermodal equipment across the DoD.
  • GFEBS & JCM Support — Use GFEBS and JCM to execute financial tracking, reporting, reconciliation, and budget activities.
  • Lease & Invoice Management — Review, validate, and reconcile intermodal equipment lease invoices for accuracy and payment processing.
  • Budget Execution — Monitor obligations, expenditures, accruals, accounts receivable, and funding balances.
  • Data Accuracy — Ensure transportation revenue data is accurate and properly reflected in finance modules.
  • Compliance Analysis — Analyze financial statements, lease agreements, and modifications to ensure compliance with program controls.
  • Process Improvement — Identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
  • Program Reporting — Provide financial analysis, reporting, and recommendations tied to mission changes and funding utilization.
  • Budget Planning — Assist with forecasting, reprogramming actions, and resource documentation.
  • Audit Readiness — Support audits, data calls, monthly reporting, and reconciliation activities.
  • Records Management — Maintain administrative and financial files in accordance with Army and DoD standards.
  • Stakeholder Communication — Coordinate with government and contractor personnel to support timely decisions.
  • Regulatory Familiarity — Maintain knowledge of Army transportation, container management, and MIL‑STD 3037 requirements.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree with 0–2 years of relevant experience; OR Associate degree with 6 years; OR High School diploma with 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain one.
  • Experience in financial management, budget execution, invoice reconciliation, program analysis, or contract financial support.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and discrepancies.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to operate effectively in a DoD or government contracting environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Prior government or military experience in logistics, transportation, deployment, or intermodal operations.
  • Experience supporting ARTRANS, USTRANSCOM, or Army transportation organizations.
  • Familiarity with GFEBS, JCM, or other DoD financial/logistics systems.
  • Knowledge of Army container operations, freight billing, intermodal leasing, or cargo movement.
  • Experience with audit readiness, accounts receivable, or financial reporting.
  • Familiarity with Army transportation regulations, container management procedures, and MIL‑STD 3037

Pay Range:

Pay Range $50,700.00 - $91,650.00
