Finance Administrator

Looking for a flexible part time role where you can build your finance skills in a dynamic, supportive environment? DVML manages Forsyth Barr Stadium and the Dunedin Centre, and we are seeking a detail driven Finance Administrator to join our finance team for 10 hours per week. This position offers stable part time hours and would be ideal for someone who enjoys varied financial tasks, accuracy, and contributing behind the scenes to a busy organisation.

About the role

In this role, you’ll support the finance function with accurate and timely processing, including:

• Daily bank reconciliations
• Processing and vouching supplier invoices
• Ensuring purchase orders are accurate and approved
• Assisting with monthly reconciliations, accruals and journals
• Providing general support to the Accountant during month-end
• Responding to internal and external finance queries
• Assisting with project work and general administration
• Supporting the team during peak periods or staff absence

What you’ll bring

You’ll be someone who is:

• Organised, accurate, and methodical
• Comfortable with financial processes such as reconciliations and coding
• Confident using Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• A clear communicator with strong attention to detail
• A team player who engages well with colleagues and stakeholders
• Self managing and reliable

Experience is not essential, and we welcome applicants who are developing their finance career, including those studying towards an accounting or business qualification.
