Pay: $58,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year

Position Summary

Due to continued growth in the Hampton Roads market, we are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Finance & Administrative Coordinator at our Norfolk location.

The Finance & Administrative Coordinator keeps day-to-day financial processes accurate, organized, and on schedule. This role manages routine bookkeeping, supports payroll, prepares recurring reports, and gives leadership reliable information for sound business decisions. It also handles a small number of onboarding and employee-record tasks.

What You’ll Do

Finance & Bookkeeping

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Receive, record, deposit, and apply customer and insurance payments
  • Prepare checks and process approved company expenses
  • Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation using company accounting systems
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other balance-sheet accounts
  • Track outstanding receivables and resolve account discrepancies
  • Support payroll processing and employee reimbursement tracking
  • Assist with month-end close and recurring financial reporting
  • Assist with financial analysis and special projects
  • Maintain confidentiality of all financial and employee information

Administrative Support

  • Assist with onboarding, employee paperwork, and orientation
  • Maintain employee records and training documentation
  • Support benefits administration and annual review processes
  • Assist management with recruiting and other administrative projects as needed

What You'll Bring

Required Experience

  • At least 3 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or financial administration required; 5 or more years preferred
  • Demonstrated experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting
  • Understanding of accounting principles and financial recordkeeping
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office 365
  • Experience using accounting, payroll, or business-management software
