
Ares Management is looking to add a Finance & Accounting Recruiter, within the U.S Non-Investment team. This is a 12 month contract assignment that will sit in Ares' Los Angeles or New York City office.
The ideal candidate will lead full life cycle recruiting process and build relationships with key stakeholders, hiring managers, and various centers of excellence across the HR function. The Finance & Accounting Recruiter will serve as a trusted advisor to business leads and key stakeholders, while sourcing active and passive talent, acting as a sourcing subject matter expert, communicating important market updates, and building out strong diverse talent pipelines. The ideal candidate will lead strategic technical recruitment and talent sourcing initiatives and have a strong knowledge of the Financial Services market. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional client service, promptly addressing all related requests and queries, streamlining, and improving our recruitment processes to ensure best practices in a fast-paced rapidly growing environment.

Primary functions & responsibilities
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Manage the end-to-end full life cycle recruiting process for Finance & Accounting roles across Ares’ businesses.
Recruit across core Finance & Accounting functions, including corporate accounting, fund accounting, management company accounting, tax, treasury, financial planning & analysis, internal audit, valuation, and financial reporting roles.
Partner closely with Finance & Accounting leadership to understand team structures, role requirements, technical skill sets, accounting designations, and hiring priorities across multiple business lines.
Assess candidates for relevant Finance & Accounting experience, including GAAP knowledge, public accounting background, CPA or other relevant certifications, financial services exposure, and experience supporting alternative asset management or related industries.
Develop targeted sourcing strategies for niche Finance & Accounting talent, including candidates from public accounting firms, financial services organizations, asset managers, private equity, credit, real estate, and other relevant investment management platforms.
Partner with the broader HR team, functions include Talent Acquisition, Talent Management & HR Business Partners, Compensation, DEI, and HR Operations teams to understand talent needs and deliver recruiting strategies and solutions.
Strategically source and develop candidate pipelines through direct sourcing platforms such as LinkedIn Recruiter and Workday ATS
Manage talent sourcing activities including research, market intelligence and mapping, direct outreaches, networking and screening
Identify and implement diversity sourcing objectives in partnership with our diversity equity & inclusion team
Manage the communication flow in a timely manner between hiring managers and candidates
Advise hiring managers on considerations such as level, compensation, and responsibilities, to help attract, retain and develop top talent
Provide a high-touch experience to all candidates from application stage to offer
Understand the financial services industry market and create a strong external brand presence for Ares
Identify trends, issues and opportunities in the marketplace relevant to your talent pools through internal data and market research
Identify opportunities to improve the overall recruiting and hiring experience for both managers and candidates
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent
Experience Required:
Minimum of 5-7 years of Finance & Accounting recruiting experience, within the financial services industry and experience within corporate or contingent recruitment search
Strong knowledge of LinkedIn Recruiter Boolean searches, creative & strategic talent sourcing methods
Experience with effectively negotiating job offers and employment terms
Experience with high volume finance & accounting recruitment and the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems (Workday experience preferred) and other recruitment platforms (LinkedIn Recruiter)

Compensation
The anticipated rate for this position is listed below. Total compensation may also include a discretionary performance-based bonus.
$55-$65 hourly
