The Finance & Accounting Onboarding Specialist will be responsible to support the integration of new projects, acquisitions, and asset management (AMS) clients into the company’s financial systems and operations. This position acts as the central point of contact for coordinating finance-related onboarding tasks, ensuring timely set-up and compliance with all internal and external requirements. In addition, this role will entail support with AP.

Essential Responsibilities

• Own and coordinate all finance-related onboarding tasks for new projects, acquisitions, and AMS customers, ensuring completeness and adherence to timeline requirements.
• Serve as the primary liaison between finance and AMS contacts, ensuring the timely collection of all required documentation, such as tax forms, legal entity info, banking instructions, and project-specific financial data.
• Act as the central point of contact within the finance department for onboarding-related matters, driving communication across accounting, compliance, AP, treasury, and FP&A.
• Collaborate with the IT and systems teams to set up legal entities, vendors, customers, and cost centers across ERP and other operational platforms.
• Ensure data integrity and system accuracy in the finance and accounting onboarding process, flagging discrepancies and working proactively to resolve gaps.
• Support finance leadership in developing onboarding SOPs, process improvements, and templates for consistent and efficient integration of new entities.
• Assist in post-onboarding handoffs and knowledge transfers to ensure accounting, FP&A, and AP teams are fully equipped to manage new entities.
• Coordinate with project finance and legal to validate entity structures, ownership models, and documentation requirements.
• Monitor accounting and finance onboarding progress against internal timelines, escalating delays or blockers as needed to ensure operational readiness.
• Performs other duties as required and assigned.
• Performs special projects as required and assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related field preferred.
• 1+ years of relevant finance, accounting, or business operations experience required.
• Demonstrated experience collaborating across departments and managing external relationships.
• Familiarity with ERP systems.
• Wind and/or solar energy project development, renewable energy industry and partnership experience not required but preferred.
