Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assume a leading role
  • To craft research including identification of stakeholders (and mapping), relevant regulations/laws as the origin of the issues to solve.
  • To develop and execute advocacy or communications programs, including message development, press materials, etc., based on understanding of the laws and regulations, compliance and capital market practice as the background of the task.
  • To provide counsel on digital campaigns and executive visibility, including understanding of social media best practices and channels
  • Serve as daily client contact and as client lead when appropriate, with decent business manner of commonly accepted level by the Japanese blue-chip companies.
  • Develop deliverables and/or materials based on a comprehensive understanding of the clients’ businesses and their missions, as well as their key stakeholders: employees, investors, regulators, media, vendors, partners and other businesses/organizations, etc.
  • Oversee the operational performance of accounts, ensuring work quality and deadline/budget adherence.
  • Complete and timely reporting and supervising staff by motivating, coaching, consistently providing feedback, holding them accountable.
  • Contributes to new business process, including identifying new business opportunities.
  • Records, submits and approves time where appropriate, expenses and POs to the right project codes on a timely basis​.


Basic Requirements:

  • Excellent Japanese writing and interpersonal communications skills.
  • 4-7 years of relevant experience in communications and/or related fields, including agency or in-house experience of compliance, corporate planning, investor relationship and/or communications role.
  • Organized and detail-oriented; able to multi-task and manage various responsibilities.
  • Ability to think critically and thoroughly.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, demonstrate ownership.
  • Innate desire to provide excellent service to clients and be a go-to counselor.
