
of Position with General Responsibilities:
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for warehousing tasks of receiving product, putting away product, picking product (filing orders), preparing product for shipment, general housekeeping, completing appropriate paperwork, operating equipment safely and loading/unloading trucks.
Essential Job Functions:
Receive and ship merchandise according to customer requirements
Transfer pallets to designated areas by use of forklift
Load and unload trailers by use of forklift or other appointed means Maintain accurate receipt and put away records, including identification and documentation of damages, overages, and/or shortages
Locate and retrieve product for shipment utilizing system-generated pick list, validating for accuracy
Submit all paperwork to appropriate department upon completion and validation for accuracy
Lift and pull inventory from storage shelves, if/when applicable (up to 50 pounds individually, and/or 70 pounds as a group)
Always maintain cleanliness of warehouse
Other duties as assigned by warehouse management
Reliable attendance
Basic Qualifications:
Broad knowledge of warehouse operations
Proficient with computers
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating procedures, and maintenance instructions
Additional Desirable Qualifications Skills and Knowledge:
Single-double, clamp, and other specialized forklift attachment experience strongly preferred
Forklift certification
RF guns
Education and/or Experience:
1-2 years experience in a warehouse environment
At least 1 year of forklift experience
High school diploma required
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required for extended periods of time to stand, walk, sit and use hands to manipulate, handle or feel objects, tools, controls and office equipment. The employee frequently is required to talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel or crouch (by bending body downward and forward by bending leg and spine), maintain body equilibrium to prevent falling. The employee may be required to pull (using upper extremities to exert force in order to haul or tug objects in a sustained motion) or remove inventory from shelves, lift up to 50 pounds (group lift up to 70 pounds), raise objects from lower to a higher position or move objects horizontally from position-to-position, climb ladders and use forklift machines. Must wear goggles, gloves and vest when required.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to work in a non heated/air-conditioned warehouse throughout all seasons and is subjected to outside environmental conditions. Workers are required to adhere to strict safety regulations.
