Job Category: Media - Journalism - NewspaperPOSITION SUMMARY: The Program Aide provides assistance with the daily operations, instructional lessons, project coordination, Student orientation, administrative tasks, and training of Student Interns.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assists Instructors in organizing, maintaining workflow, and monitoring students during instruction in-person and virtually.
- May provide Core Team instructional lessons three days per week or as needed.
- May plan lessons on Film History, Acting, and General Film & Media Production.
- Evaluate client progress and add case notes on client goals daily.
- Provide on-set Production support during film shoots.
- Track student attendance communicating concerns with clients and their families, as necessary.
- Maintains all client documents in Setworks and tracks renewal dates.
- Assists with training student Teacher Assistant Interns.
- Provides support in the areas of community integration, education, self-advocacy, self-care, vocational training, and supported employment.
- Assists Instructors with equipment inventory, project storage/filing, organization of project files, and documentation of project library.
- Logs and captures video/audio footage as it comes in; liaisons with appropriate parties to acquire and return SD cards in a timely manner.
- Acts as an advocate to promote and protect the right of clients and ensures individuals are treated with dignity and respect.
- Organizes work by checking and responding to all communications (email in-box, voicemail, texts, etc.) and completes all required documentation in accordance with OFA quality standards, practices, and deadlines. Communicates with students, families, and service coordinators.
- Maintain office, program and workspaces; keeping them neat and organized.
- Perform incidental job duties such as cleaning or restocking supplies as required.
- Assist with maintenance of the work facility and premises, as applicable.
- Performs other job duties as assigned by Program Manager.

QualificationsESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience
- Experience working with individuals with a variety of disabilities within the human services, education, or a related field (preferred).
- Knowledge of multimedia production or experience working on a production set or in a related field.
- Knowledge of Pre-Production, Production, and Post-Production processes.
Required Skills
- Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, communication and time management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Professional English writing ability, including usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary.
- Participation in staff meetings and trainings.
- Proficient use of basic office equipment and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to multitask, organize information and prioritize activities.

Other Requirements
- Ability to travel within and throughout the county in which services are provided.
- Ability to travel in and throughout the state as needed to attend meetings, trainings, etc.
- Successful completion of Background check.
- CPR/First Aid Certification.
COMPENSATION
Compensation is an hourly base rate plus access to comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and a 403(b)-retirement program on your first day of hire.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT 
This position requires the employee to regularly stand, walk, sit, talk and hear. They must be capable of writing, using a computer keyboard, telephone and related office equipment. Ability to lift 25lbs.   

The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.  

The employee will be working in community environments, employment sites and office environments. The employee will experience normal office conditions with a well-lighted work area and minor noise from standard office equipment. Exposure to blood borne pathogens could occur during restrooming, feeding, or when administering first aid to participants. Hepatitis B vaccines are offered at no cost to each employee.
