The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of File Transfer and Data Exchange services within the Milan department. This role is critical to ensuring the secure, reliable, and efficient movement of sensitive data between internal teams and external partners, including clients, markets, and third-party organizations.

The position requires maintaining the stability and performance of the data exchange infrastructure, supporting business-critical operations while ensuring compliance with security and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery & Connectivity Management

  • Gather and analyze technical requirements for new file transfer configurations and data exchange workflows.
  • Support the change management process for connectivity-related updates, including both technical and functional changes.
  • Coordinate and execute comprehensive testing activities to ensure the successful and error-free implementation of new configurations.
  • Participate in the deployment, monitoring, and follow-up of connectivity projects and initiatives.
  • Configure and maintain sensitive data exchange processes with a strong focus on accuracy, security, and data integrity.
  • Proactively identify process gaps, operational risks, and opportunities for improvement in security, efficiency, and reliability.
  • Create and maintain detailed technical documentation covering file transfer mappings, configurations, and operational procedures.
  • Manage competing priorities effectively, taking full ownership of assigned projects and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to provide regular progress updates and ensure successful project execution.

Application Support & Operations

  • Provide Level 3 support for file transfer and connectivity incidents, performing in-depth root cause analysis and implementing effective solutions or workarounds to minimize business impact.
  • Administer and maintain Axway solutions, specifically Axway CFT and Axway SecureTransport, ensuring high availability and operational excellence.
  • Monitor and support all transfer processes, including scheduled transfers, real-time exchanges, and batch workflows.
  • Ensure recurring issues, resolutions, and operational procedures are properly documented and shared with first-line support teams.
  • Liaise directly with external system administrators and technical teams worldwide to troubleshoot connectivity, certificate, authentication, and communication issues.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of monitoring, operational processes, and service reliability.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Proven hands-on experience with Axway solutions, including Axway CFT and/or Axway SecureTransport.
  • Strong knowledge of file transfer protocols such as SFTP, FTPS, and HTTPS.
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, Firewalls, Load Balancers, and connectivity troubleshooting.
  • Experience managing services and applications hosted on Linux and Windows Server environments, including deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and service administration.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Excellent attention to detail, particularly when managing sensitive data exchanges and security-critical configurations.
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to evolving integration and data exchange standards.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and external partner relationships simultaneously.
  • Professional proficiency in written and spoken English, with experience collaborating directly with international teams and external administrators.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in managed file transfer (MFT) environments within enterprise organizations.
  • Knowledge of security best practices related to data exchange, encryption, authentication, and certificate management.
  • Experience supporting mission-critical production environments with strict service availability requirements.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes, change management, and incident management practices.
