The Position

Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in elementary education from an accredited university and a Michigan Teaching Certificate with Endorsements of ZG, ZC, and/or ZP.

The qualified candidate will meet the needs of each child by understanding and implementing best practices particularly in the areas of literacy and math; utilizing a strong knowledge of technology integration; creating and utilizing systems of intervention and support, differentiated instruction, and a variety of instructional strategies.

• Develop and implement creative and engaging lesson plans.
• Incorporate practical application of content knowledge in lesson plans.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of each learner.
• Develop and implement progressive classroom-based interventions.
• Utilize progress monitoring.
• Monitor and evaluate student development and growth through a variety of assessments.
• Maintain accurate student classroom records.

This position reports to the Building Principal.
