
About the Role
We are looking for highly experienced FIFO Head Chefs to work closely with the Village & Catering Managers to deliver exceptional food to our Villages. The primary focus of the role is to ensure a smooth and profitable kitchen operation that delivers outstanding guest experience.
We have roles available within Bowen Basin (Nebo, Coppabella, and Moranbah). These can be a DIDO if you live locally or FIFO role departing from Brisbane on 14:7 rosters. We also have a free staff bus that departs from Mackay.

Experience
5+ years’ cumulative chef experience, preferably working in a large hotel or remote village environment (FIFO or DIDO) with significant experiences supervising and managing a team of chefs
Experience with ordering, storing, preparing and delivering food service
Strong experience in a bulk/batch cooking environment
Ordering, profit and wastage reporting
Client relationship management and support
Skills and Knowledge
Certificate III/IV in Commercial Cookery or Trade certificate essential.
Applied knowledge of HACCP principles in a bulk cooking environment
Ability to create service schedules on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
Applied knowledge of workplace safety systems and compliance requirements
Intermediate skills with regards to Microsoft Office applications
Budgetary and analytical skills
Knowledge of relevant kitchen chemicals, including their application and storage
Valid drivers’ licence (Class C) is preferred
