Skilled Caterpillar Mechanic with a minimum of 3 years’ hands-on experience in maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing Caterpillar heavy equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team to ensure optimal performance of machinery
Maintenance & Repair
Have all the knowledge needed to rebuild CAT3512 engines
Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues using Caterpillar diagnostic tools.
Conduct repairs and component replacements to restore equipment functionality.
Inspection & Testing
Carry out thorough inspections to identify wear, damage, or potential failures.
Test repaired equipment to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturer standards.
Safety & Compliance
Follow all safety protocols and company policies during repair and maintenance activities.
Maintain accurate service records and documentation for compliance and reporting.
Collaboration
Work closely with operations and maintenance teams .
Provide technical support and training to junior mechanics when required.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic, specifically with Caterpillar machinery.
Strong knowledge of Caterpillar diagnostic software (e.g., CAT ET).
Proficiency in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
Technical certification in heavy equipment mechanics (preferred).

MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS:
Two years relevant experience in the oil field sector or if there is no experience, technical diploma is a must
At least 3 years of experience as Caterpillar Engine Technician
PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONS:
Mechanic or Electrician diploma
Electrical background is an asset
PLC controls experience is an asset
