Job Description

A-Field Dispatcher-plays a crucial role in coordinating and managing field operations.
Scheduling and Dispatching: Use radio, phone, or computer systems to direct field crews and units to appropriate locations based on predetermined schedules, customer requests, or immediate needs. Prioritization: Organize calls according to urgency and supervise the route and status of field units to prioritize their daily schedules. Communication: Relay information between work crews, field inspectors, supervisors, and emergency personnel. Problem Resolution: Speak with supervisors or customers to resolve issues, address service requests, and provide necessary information. Documentation: Maintain and update call logs, records, and other important documentation related to field operations.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills. Organizational Abilities: Ability to manage schedules, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple requests simultaneously. Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with telephones, two-way radios, and text messaging systems. Adaptability: Ability to handle dynamic situations and adjust plans as needed. Customer Service Orientation: A commitment to providing assistance and important information to callers.
