About The Role:
The Field Training Officer (FTO) serves as the principal training resource for a datacenter campus or metro location. In addition to providing training, job functions may include problem resolution, service enhancement, and process improvement as it pertains to security operations, safety, and training. The Field Training Officer reports directly to the Field Training Manager (FTM), and will work closely with other sites, regional, and headquarter leadership. This position will have no direct reports but will work closely with campus and sub-regional training leadership to assess employees, site, and campus needs.

What You Can Expect:
In this role, you serve as the primary point of contact for onboarding and ongoing training at the site, campus, and country level. You are responsible for training and certifying new security personnel, delivering refresher and sustainment training, and ensuring officers consistently meet required security standards. This includes evaluating performance during training and maintaining accurate training records and certifications.
You are responsible for tracking training completion for all security personnel and maintaining required training and safety documentation in line with established policies and procedures. You conduct recurring training audits, prepare and submit required reports, and handle critical or confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
You collaborate closely with local leadership, the PMO training team, and program leadership to develop site‑specific training plans, recommend onboarding and training schedules, and support compliance‑related tools and processes. You will communicate with client representatives and internal stakeholders, including leading in‑person and virtual training sessions, presentations, and group meetings.You will also support additional tasks as needed to help meet ongoing operational requirements.
What You Need To Apply:
An associate’s degree and 2+ years of relevant experience in the security industry, business operations, or a similar environment, along with 2+ years of training or instructional experience.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
Experience in datacenter environments and developing or delivering training is preferred.
Being comfortable using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint as these tools are used regularly.
This role requires frequent travel, approximately 50% of the time, including travel between sites—sometimes with limited notice—and occasional travel between regions or countries to support operational needs. A valid passport and a genuine passion for travel are essential. Applicants must also be able and willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays (such as during emergencies or high‑priority events).
