Job Description

Position Purpose:

Field Territory Leader serves as the bridge between the strategic production goals and ground-level execution. The role is responsible in ensuring that seed production targets are met with precision, integrity, and safety.

The role includes scouting and organizing seed grower contracts to secure the target hectarage requirement in the assigned territory. The role works with growers, local government units and field service providers in the execution of production schedules, quality controls and safety procedures.

The Field Territory Leader also serves as the subject matter expert for implementing sound agronomic practices to maximize yield potential, maintain the highest quality standards, and promote adoption of the company’s Package of Technology within seed-growing communities.

The role also conducts regular seed‑field inspections and audits to ensure compliance with work instructions, quality plans, and safety protocols, and drives corrective actions and continuous improvement where needed.

In addition, the Field Territory Leader manages operational resources, financial controls, and trade‑related information while ensuring full compliance with company policies, laws, and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the localized execution of the annual acreage and production plan to ensure volume targets are met within the assigned territory.

  • Monitor crop cycles and field conditions and ensure adherence to company product of technology and batch plans.

  • Manage and ensure the proper implementation of field activities in accordance with documented procedures and direction from the Field Operations Leader.

  • Review and update work instructions, guidelines, procedures, one-point lessons, and systems in accordance with the Corteva Agriscience Management System (CAMS).

  • Serve as a technical resource for hybrid seed production for field workers, growers, and other stakeholders within the designated production area, and recommend interventions as needed to deliver high-quality products.

  • Work with field service providers and growers in timely executing corrective and improvement actions for any deviations identified.

  • Recruit, train, and manage a network of seed growers, ensuring they adhere to company protocols and best practices.

  • Coordinate the logistics of planting, crop management, pollen control, harvesting, and transport to company processing facilities.

  • Implement and enforce strict quality control plans in accordance with company Quality Plan to maintain superior seed quality.

  • Conduct regular field audits and inspections to identify and control potential risks (pests, disease, or genetic contamination).

  • Strictly implement germplasm security protocols and maintain confidentiality of information.

  • Conduct periodic evaluations and field inspections to assess adherence of field service providers to company requirements.

  • Document and report all quality deviations, implementing immediate corrective actions when necessary.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for Local Government Units (LGUs), relevant community stakeholders and agricultural agencies to ensure alignment with local regulations and schedule of production activities.

  • Manage the timely and accurate release of budgets, farm inputs, advances, and final payments to growers based on contract milestones and performance.

  • Ensure 100% compliance with company Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards across all field operations.

  • Uphold the highest standards of ethical business conduct, ensuring all grower contracts and financial dealings are transparent and fair.

  • Lead the implementation of continuous improvement projects to improve product quality, procedures and cost effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Agribusiness or related field required.

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in field production, seed technology, or agricultural extension services.

  • Ability to work extensively in seed field environments, including exposure to heat, humidity, and varying weather conditions.

  • Strong interpersonal skills for managing diverse grower personalities and government officials.

  • Proficiency in financial tracking and budget management.

  • Proficiency in computer operations and a strong command of standard office application to ensure efficient data management and reporting.

  • Ability to perform technical quality audits and generate detailed reports.

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and be willing to spend significant time in rural field locations.
