Job Description

The Program Management Services Division at LaBella provides comprehensive management services for complex projects and multi-year capital programs. Project teams are established to provide a customized mix of business consulting, project management, financial control and monitoring, administrative, and technical support services.

We are seeking multiple Field Technician I and Field Technician II for our AMI group located in NY. Duties for these variable seasonal positions include installations and removals of electric meters, single phase 240 V or less. Additional duties may include inventory and Connex Box management.

Salary Range:

  • Field Tech I: $25/hour
  • Field Tech II: $28/hour

The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.

Responsibilities (Field Tech I & II):

  • Test voltage with a voltmeter.
  • Use of an Ipad to document the meter installation/exchange.
  • Ensure the safe operation of the company vehicle, equipment, and tools during the job. Includes maintaining a clean vehicle.
  • Loading and unloading supplies for daily activities.
  • Completing tasks within time frames set by the Field Supervisor and Project Manager.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to work over the shoulders and with various obstructions to the meter and in basements.
  • Submit weekly timesheets on time.
  • Interact with courtesy and professionalism with client customers.
  • Other duties as assigned by the field supervisor.

Requirements

Field Tech I:

  • Some mechanical and electrical aptitude a plus.
  • Valid NYS driver license. Meet LaBella Vehicle eligibility requirements.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to kneel and work over the shoulders.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions year-round.
  • Electrical experience a PLUS.
  • Travel is required, including overnights across NY

Field Tech II:

  • Some mechanical and electrical aptitude a plus.
  • Being able to pass gas qualifying test.
  • Participate in D&A program.
  • Valid NYS driver license. Meet LaBella Vehicle eligibility requirements.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to kneel and work over the shoulders.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions year-round.
  • Electrical experience a PLUS.
  • Distribution Gas experience a PLUS.
  • Travel is required, including overnights across NY
