Amentum is seeking dynamic and strong leaders for employment as Field Support Team (FST) Manager for SURTASS program home based out of Virginia Beach, VA. The candidate will be responsible for participating in the planning, execution and reporting of new and existing SURTASS operations.The FST Manager will perform as a company engineering representative at a base, or remote locations. Develops, applies, revises and implements quality assurance plans and audits for products to ensure product quality targets are met. Maintains quality standards for receiving, in-process and final inspection in accordance with company and contractual requirements. Reviews and revises or writes quality assurance procedures. Establishes, defines, implements, maintains, and reports on quality assurance key performance measures and standards. Performs root cause analysis, implements corrective actions, and monitors progress and improvements. Drives continuous improvement through communication and training on quality standards, requirements, and best practices. Advises customer and contractor personnel of company requirements for products and services, support equipment and electronic equipment installations. Success in this role requires strong organizational structure, analytical insight, and a commitment to accountability.
As the FST Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
Manage staffing, qualifying, training, and execution of Intermediate level maintenance of all SURTASS mission systems
Develop and maintain the contractor maintenance Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
Generate reports for SURTASS mission systems status as directed by the Government.
Basic Qualifications:
Associate's Degree in Resource Management, Information Systems Management, or equivalent, or be a graduate of US Navy Electronics or Information Systems "C" School or an equivalent civilian school.
Ten (10) years documented experience in managing technical teams executing intermediate and/or depot maintenance on Navy C4I systems and/or acoustic intelligence gathering systems.
Ten (10) years’ experience managing personnel.
Five (5) years' experience in the maintenance and repair of SURTASS C4I systems, SURTASS processing systems, and SURTASS arrays (active and passive)
Experience in manpower planning, scheduling, qualification programs, and training programs
Excellent communication skills and ability to work as a task lead as required.
Active SECRET US government security clearance. Note: US citizenship is required to maintain a Secret clearance.
Experience on U.S. Navy electronics equipment
DOD 8140 IAT Level II certification (i.e Security + or equivalent) within 12 months of hiring
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
Program Management Professional (PMP) certification
DOD 8140 IAT Level III certification (i.e CISSP or equivalent)
Compensation Details:
$90,000
