Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Field Superintendent to oversee field operations during an industrial shutdown/turnaround project in New Caney, TX The Field Superintendent will coordinate crews, subcontractors, materials, equipment, and daily work activities while ensuring the project is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily field operations during the shutdown and turnaround.
- Coordinate craft personnel, subcontractors, equipment, materials, and work schedules.
- Conduct daily meetings and communicate work assignments and priorities.
- Monitor manpower, productivity, job progress, and project schedules.
- Review work plans, drawings, permits, and safety requirements.
- Coordinate with project management, clients, safety personnel, and contractors.
- Ensure all work follows site safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies.
- Identify and resolve field issues affecting safety, quality, productivity, or schedule.
- Maintain daily reports documenting manpower, progress, materials, and completed work.
- Provide project management with regular updates on field progress and manpower.
- Ensure work is completed according to project specifications and client expectations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Field Superintendent, General Superintendent, or Lead Supervisor on industrial shutdowns or turnarounds.
- Industrial maintenance, refinery, petrochemical, or heavy industrial experience preferred.
- Strong leadership and crew-management skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple crews and subcontractors in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read work plans, drawings, schedules, and safety documentation.
- Knowledge of industrial safety requirements and shutdown procedures.
- Must be available to work extended hours, weekends, and varying shifts during the shutdown.
- OSHA and site-specific safety certifications are a plus.
