Client Overview
Our client is a long-established family-owned aquaculture company based in Uwajima, Ehime Prefecture, one of Japan's most recognized regions for premium fish farming. The company specializes in cultivating high-quality Yellowtail (Buri) and Red Sea Bream (Madai), managing the complete fish farming lifecycle from juvenile stocking to harvesting operations.
Operating from a remote island environment, the company combines traditional Japanese fishery practices with disciplined operational standards to maintain exceptional product quality for Japan's domestic seafood and hospitality markets. The organization offers a unique opportunity for individuals seeking long-term careers within Japan's fisheries sector while experiencing authentic island life and hands-on maritime operations.
Job Role
The Fishery Operations Staff will be directly involved in the daily operational activities of sea-based fish farming facilities located around Hiburi Island. This is a highly hands-on and physically demanding role requiring strong discipline, adaptability, and willingness to work in outdoor maritime environments under varying weather conditions.
Working closely with experienced Japanese fishery professionals, the successful candidate will support feeding operations, fish health monitoring, sea-pen maintenance, harvesting activities, and overall operational upkeep of the aquaculture facilities.
