Job Description

Weatherford is seeking an experienced Field Specialist III – Tubular Running Services (TRS) to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality technical services during offshore drilling and completion operations. This role is responsible for operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting TRS equipment and associated tools across offshore drilling rigs, including deepwater operations.

The Field Specialist III will execute field operations with minimal supervision, ensuring equipment reliability, operational excellence, and zero Non-Productive Time (NPT). The successful candidate will work closely with customers and offshore personnel, provide technical guidance to junior team members, and ensure full compliance with Weatherford's Quality, Health, Safety & Environment (HSE), and operational standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute Tubular Running Services (TRS) operations safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved operational procedures.
  • Operate, inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot TRS equipment and associated offshore drilling tools.
  • Ensure equipment is fully operational, tested, and ready before deployment to offshore locations.
  • Monitor equipment performance during operations and proactively identify potential issues to prevent operational downtime.
  • Deliver operations with a strong focus on safety, service quality, operational reliability, and achieving zero Non-Productive Time (NPT).
  • Support offshore and deepwater drilling operations while ensuring compliance with customer and company requirements.
  • Coordinate effectively with client representatives, drilling crews, rig personnel, and internal support teams throughout all phases of the operation.
  • Prepare accurate operational reports, service documentation, maintenance records, and job summaries.
  • Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), and risk assessments before and during operations.
  • Mentor and support the development of junior Field Specialists and offshore crew members by sharing technical knowledge and best practices.
  • Ensure proper handling, maintenance, storage, and preservation of tools and equipment.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, equipment reliability, and service quality.
  • Comply with all Weatherford policies, customer requirements, industry regulations, and offshore HSE standards.

Skills :

  • Strong knowledge of Tubular Running Services (TRS) equipment, tools, and offshore drilling operations.
  • Sound understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic systems.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and fault-finding skills in offshore operational environments.
  • Strong knowledge of offshore HSE standards, risk management, and safe work practices.
  • Ability to identify operational risks and implement practical solutions under pressure.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in multicultural offshore teams.
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilities.
  • Computer literacy with experience in operational reporting and documentation.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
  • Physically fit and capable of performing demanding offshore operational activities.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high performance standards.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Oil & Gas field operations.
  • Proven hands-on experience in Tubular Running Services (TRS) operations.
  • Offshore field experience, preferably supporting deepwater drilling operations.
  • Experience working on offshore drilling rigs in demanding operational environments.
  • Valid offshore certifications as required.
  • Technical Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related discipline from an accredited technical or vocational institution.
  • Experience with Weatherford TRS tools, equipment, and operational procedures.
  • Working knowledge of offshore drilling and well completion processes.
  • Willingness to work on a rotational offshore schedule.
  • Ability to travel and support offshore operations across India as required.
  • Flexibility to respond to operational priorities while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer service.
