The Role

Weatherford is seeking an experienced Field Specialist III – Liner Systems to support and execute field operations across onshore, offshore, and deepwater projects in Indonesia. This role applies field knowledge, technical judgement, and standard Weatherford procedures to deliver safe, high-quality service execution for Liner Systems operations.

As a key technical representative at the well site, the Field Specialist III will support job planning, tool preparation, equipment operation, field installation, troubleshooting, client communication, and service quality delivery. The role will also provide guidance to junior field personnel and assist with resolving technical issues in dynamic rig site environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute field operations for Liner Systems across onshore, offshore, and deepwater projects in Indonesia.
  • Perform job planning, preparation of tools and equipment, mobilisation, job execution, and post-job reporting in line with Weatherford procedures.
  • Test, operate, and maintain tools and equipment as per work instructions, policies, procedures, and individual competence level.
  • Support the installation of complex equipment and services in the field, ensuring all activities are completed safely and efficiently.
  • Perform engineering checks while on client location, including hand calculations, software computation updates, and new calculations based on latest well data.
  • Monitor and analyse operational data to recommend services, solutions, and performance improvements.
  • Participate in daily operations and safety meetings, toolbox talks, Job Hazard Analysis, and report issues promptly using appropriate systems.
  • Serve as a key client interface at the well site, delivering superior service quality and maintaining strong customer relationships.
  • Effectively manage inventory, equipment, and supplies required at the well site.
  • Complete accurate job documentation including job reports, WPTS data entry, observation cards, service tickets, logs, and documents required for invoicing.
  • Follow up equipment failures with R&M teams and support closure of failure reports with clients.
  • Contribute to, participate in, or lead equipment failure investigations and Root Cause Analysis activities.
  • Lead, mentor, and support junior field personnel and field operations crew members where required.
  • Maintain equipment, facilities, and work areas in safe, presentable working condition.
  • Ensure all activities comply with Weatherford’s Quality, HSE, Security, Compliance, Management System, and Rules to Live By requirements.

Qualifications

  • 2.5–4 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Previous field experience with Liner Systems, completions, downhole tools, or well site operations preferred.

  • Ability to perform field calculations, engineering checks, and technical problem solving in line with operational requirements.
  • Computer fundamentals and ability to complete accurate digital reporting and job-related documentation.
  • Strong critical thinking, active listening, judgement, decision-making, and complex problem-solving skills.
  • Good reading and writing skills with the ability to follow policies, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Quality control awareness to ensure products, tools, and services meet required standards.
  • Strong service orientation with the ability to build positive client relationships and support repeat business.
  • Ability to identify potential operational issues, react effectively, and operate tools and machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Physically capable of performing demanding field work in challenging onshore, offshore, and deepwater environments.
  • Available on a 24-hour call basis and able to travel domestically and potentially internationally up to 50–75%.
