Job Description

This traineeship with GE Vernova team will offer a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience through challenging projects, learn from some of the brightest and most innovative minds in the business and network with a variety of
professionals.

Duration : 12-months

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing testing, commissioning and technical support to customers: This includes site , office and factory activities providing on site services, remote support, answering questions about products, troubleshooting problems, and providing recommendations for solutions.
  • Receive, record, analyze customer repair and technical support requests using the software tool provided
  • Work closely with factories, repair centers, operations, logistics, customers to achieve shortest possible request closing time maintain legal and commercial agreements and achieve customer satisfaction
  • Working with customers to understand their installed base data, advise for upgrade, repair and other technical recommendations.
  • Working with factories and repair centers to facilitaterecommendations and solutions implementation at customer sites.
  • Writing technical documentation: This includes test reports, repair reports, findings solutions, and technical reports.

Required Qualification

  • Bachelors' Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Electromechanical, or/and Instrumentation and Control Engineering or related fields.
  • Fresh graduates up to 2 years of experience.
  • Electrical Safety awareness: This includes knowledge of electrical safety standards, and how to work safely with electrical equipment.
  • The legal right to work in KSA without company sponsorship or time restriction.

Desired Characteristics

  • Knowledge of Power system theory based on the fundamental principles of electrical engineering, such as voltage, current, resistance, power, symmetrical components, etc. and Power system components: the main components include Generators, Transmission lines, Distribution lines, Substations, transformers, Loads, and protective devices.
  • Ability to handle and deal with different level of customers beginners to experts maintaining same respect and demonstrate correct standards and theories
  • Network analysis which is the process of analyzing the behavior of power system under different conditions.
  • Power system protection: this includes designing and installing protective devices to protect the power system from faults.
  • Substation Automation is the process of using digital technology to control an monitor substations.
  • Negotiation skills
  • Presentation & Communication skills
