Job Description

The Role

As a Field Service Technician (FST), you'll spend your time carrying out inspections, testing, tagging and maintenance on lifting, rigging and safety equipment on customer sites across the region.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is technically minded, enjoys building strong customer relationships, and takes pride in delivering safe and reliable outcomes. It’s ideal for a technician enjoys working autonomously, seeks to work around other life commitments and wishes to join a team-first culture where everyone chips in to get the job done.

Regular driving and good physical fitness (due to the nature of the work) will be required for success in this role.

This is a full-time permanent position operating Mon to Fri 8:00am to 4:00pm (overtime available).

A tool of trade vehicle available for reasonable use will be provided.

About the role

  • Conduct onsite and workshop-based inspections, testing and tagging of lifting and safety equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance, servicing and compliance inspections on customer equipment
  • Travel regularly to customer sites across the region
  • Build strong customer relationships through professional communication and service delivery
  • Provide customers with guidance and recommendations regarding equipment condition and compliance requirements
  • Complete inspection reports and maintain accurate service records
  • Work safely at all times and demonstrate a strong commitment to personal and workplace safety
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues to support team and customer outcomes

You will have

  • Previous experience in inspections, testing and tagging, field service, maintenance, or a similar technical environment is highly regarded
  • Clear and friendly verbal and written communication manner, with the ability to build rapport with a wide range of customers
  • A team player who enjoys contributing to a positive and supportive work environment
  • Physically capable of performing a hands-on field service role
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards
  • Exposure to dogging, rigging and/or working at heights is advantageous but not essential.
