Talon Recruiting has partnered with the largest single-source provider of commercial trucks and equipment. Together we are in search of Field Service Technicians to join their team in Saint Paul, MN.

Hiring Field Technicians to provide preventive maintenance and repair of aerial cranes, bucket trucks, boom trucks, dump trucks, conveyors, digger derricks, pressure diggers, and aerial lifts and more.

Do you have experience or an interest in working with truck-mounted hydraulic utility equipment such as aerial devices, digger derricks, chippers, cranes; construction, mining, farm equipment such as excavators, skid steers, dozers or tractors; military heavy equipment, or tanks; aircraft and aerospace or ground support equipment

• Monday – Friday (limited over-nights and week-ends)
• Cover parts of MN, SD, ND, IA and WI.
• Pay based on experience, company credit card, cell phone, computer for approved, Shop Support
• Class B Utility truck 5500, outfitted
• Construction, Utility company, diesel mechanic or related industry exp. desired
• Hydraulics, electrical, diagnostics, scan tool,
• Preventive maintenance, repair 30-40% engine compartment
• 60-70% repairing hydraulics, electrical, aerials, digger derricks, augers, excavator etc.
• Work cooperatively with other members of the service team to provide mechanical skills and technical support.
• Perform service on company rental fleet while in the field.
• Responsible for ensuring the equipment is in proper working condition and their workmanship follows all procedures and protocol.
• Will communicate with service team members daily.
• Work with a variety of OEM's including Freightliners, Western Stars, Peterbilt, Internationals on vocational trucks including aerial cranes, bucket trucks, boom trucks, dump trucks, conveyors, digger derricks, pressure diggers, and aerial lifts and more.
• Preferably Hold an unexpired CDL class B.
• Work in a safe manner

Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma or the equivalent
• Vocational Technical School or Military Wheeled Mechanic or related training a plus
• General mechanical aptitude / knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, construction, farm or truck
• Must hold a valid Commercial driver’s license
• Must have your own tools
• Physical effort to move objects and tools; frequent stooping, bending, squatting, and kneeling and a high level of dexterity
