
Perform efficiently and independently on regularly scheduled shifts and scheduled on-call periods to support 365/24/7 support commitment to customer. Duties include installation, decommission, preventative and corrective maintenance on various models of Transportation Security Equipment (TSE) and commercial customer security screening equipment. Upon completion of equipment installation, review proper operational procedures with security equipment operators. Utilize mobile devices to update customer service requests in near real time. Must be able to clearly document work performed on commercial equipment when service requests are not dispatched to mobile device and communicate effectively with customer staff and other field service technicians. Must be familiar with standard safety concepts, practices, and procedures for maintaining security equipment. Use work experience and sound judgment to plan and accomplish daily/weekly and monthly work objectives. Utilize support equipment such as digital multimeters, flow meters or oscilloscopes to accurately diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions. Works under general supervision. A degree of independence, creativity and latitude is required.
Experience on specific security screening equipment is a plus: CEIA, Smiths Detection, Rapiscan, and Leidos. Ability to work in secure environments and pass applicable background checks is a must. Candidates must have a good driving record and a reliable personal vehicle to use for performing daily work. Must be available for overtime as needed in addition to travel. If not already certified for maintaining and repairing the security equipment noted above, then certification is a condition of employment. High level of reliability is required.
Primary Responsibilities:
Report to the Director of Checkpoint Maintenance. Performs scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) on Transportation Security Equipment at U.S. airports and its territories. Performs corrective maintenance (CM) on Transportation Security Administration Equipment at airports and is on-call for CM activities in the area, including Guam, Saipan and American Samoa. Must be trained and certified in PM and CM procedures for equipment on which they work. Must be able to pass a thorough background check for TSA
Basic Qualifications:
At least 2-5 years of field service experience repairing and servicing security equipment or related equipment. (HVAC, medical x-ray/CT systems, etc.)
Electromechanical background/experience
Familiar using measuring devices (digital multimeters, mass flow meters)
Adept at interpreting technical schematics and diagrams
Working knowledge of x-ray/CT imaging and/or magnetometer metal detector systems
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate’s Degree preferred or 2 additional years of related work experience in lieu of degree

Pay Range $48,100.00 - $86,950.00
