Job Description

Kelly Cove Salmon Ltd., a division of Cooke Aquaculture Inc., a dynamic and growing East Coast family company, with Platinum Member status in Canada’s Best Managed Companies Program, is offering a unique opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join the Company’s team as a Field Service Technician - Generators for Small Vessel Fleet and Feed Systems. The facility is located in St. George, N.B. area.

The Role

Positions offer full-time, year-round employment.

Primary duties include:

  • Support the installation of Generators.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical equipment associated with generators.
  • Inspect and test generator systems to ensure proper operation.
  • Inspect and maintain electrical systems; wiring, connections etc.
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance of generators.
  • Ensure scheduled maintenance are completed by crew as per OEM procedures.
  • Prepare and submit reports related to generator maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment.
  • Ensure safety and compliance with the regulations.

The ideal candidate must be:

  • A self-motivated team player who possesses excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience preferred.
  • Must possess either Electrical Journeyman or Mechanical Journeyman.
  • Periodic travel to interprovincial facilities & vessels and the ability to be on-call rotation is a requirement.
  • Preference will be given to applicants who have a background in and understanding of preventative maintenance and inventory monitoring.
