FRSA has dedicated technical service and repair centres located in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane, which are staffed by highly skilled and competent technicians, delivering measurable and sustained compliance and operational readiness of critical lifesaving equipment.

YOUR ROLE

As a Field Service Technician (FST) with FRSA, you will be highly specialized, conducting maintenance, field repairs and installations, working autonomously or within the team, on high pressure breathing air compressors, self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA), high pressure hydraulic road crash recue tools and gas detection, primarily within the mining and emergency services sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Servicing, fault diagnosis, repair of equipment and reporting to customers.
• Providing technical advice and support to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Regular travel to regional sites throughout SA.
• Quoting service-based jobs and requests to customer.
• Understudy and assist the State Service Supervisor.

ABOUT YOU

• Full Australian working rights.
• High pressure hydraulics and/or pneumatics experience highly desirable.
• Proficient computer literacy.
• Good communicator with strong customer service focus.
• Highly motivated self-starter.
• Adaptability and readiness to respond to multiple changing priorities in a fast-paced industry.
• Current drivers licence essential.
• Ability to obtain and maintain DCSI and National Police clearances.
• Willingness and ability to travel inter/ intra state, generally Monday to Friday, as required. ( Some weekend work may be required).
