We are seeking a motivated and adaptable Field Service Technician to join our New Zealand team on a 3 months fixed-term contract.

This role is ideally suited to someone with 2–3 years of civil, infrastructure, roading, or field-based operational experience and will primarily focus on undertaking approximately 400–500 site surveys across New Zealand to support the deployment of Acusensus’ world-leading road safety technology solutions.

This is a highly field-based position that will require continuous travel throughout New Zealand, with all company travel, accommodation, and related expenses covered in addition to a competitive salary package.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct approximately 400–500 site surveys across New Zealand
  • Assess roadside locations for operational suitability and safety considerations
  • Capture and document site data, photos, measurements, and observations
  • Complete risk assessments and identify potential deployment constraints
  • Support deployment planning and operational field activities
  • Maintain accurate reporting using electronic applications and systems
  • Assist with the deployment and support of Acusensus technology solutions where required
  • Maintain strong health and safety practices while working in roadside environments
  • Liaise professionally with stakeholders and members of the public where required
  • Travel regularly throughout regional and metropolitan New Zealand locations

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of experience within a civil, infrastructure, roading, construction, or field operations environment
  • Strong practical problem-solving and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage travel requirements effectively
  • Comfortable undertaking remote roadside fieldwork
  • Strong attention to detail and reporting capability
  • Confidence using mobile applications, tablets, and digital systems
  • Flexibility to travel continuously throughout New Zealand
  • Full New Zealand driver licence
  • A strong commitment to health, safety, and operational compliance
