Job Information

This position serves as a technical and project leadership resource for customer installations, maintenance activities, upgrades, and service projects. This hybrid role combines hands-on field service expertise in analyzers, process instrumentation, PLCs, and industrial control systems with project management duties to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to customer expectations. The individual will work directly with customers, vendors, internal departments, and field personnel to deliver successful technical solutions while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of analytical equipment and control systems.
  • Provide onsite and remote technical support to customers.
  • Conduct system diagnostics and root cause analysis to resolve equipment and process issues.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and equipment inspections.
  • Document service activities, findings, recommendations, and corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with all company, customer, and regulatory safety requirements.
  • Train customer personnel in equipment operation and maintenance best practices.
  • Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource requirements.
  • Coordinate activities between engineering, operations, procurement, vendors, and customers.
  • Specify equipment that meets customers’ needs.
  • Track project milestones, deliverables, risks, and action items.
  • Monitor project costs and ensure financial objectives are achieved.
  • Manage project documentation, change orders, and customer communications.
  • Ensure projects meet quality standards and contractual obligations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Project Management, or related technical discipline; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Experience managing technical projects.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and schematics.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, and AutoCAD.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% as business needs require.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to obtain customer site access.
  • Preferred: Experience commissioning, troubleshooting, programming, and supporting PLC-based automation systems including Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider, or comparable platforms.
  • Preferred: Experience with process analyzers and analytical instrumentation, including installation, calibration, and troubleshooting.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of electrical schematics, P&IDs, and control panel designs.

Work Environment

This role operates in a professional office environment with flexibility for hybrid work. Standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers are used. Occasional visits to warehouses or operational sites may be required.
