Are you a hands-on technical professional who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, working directly with customers, and traveling to customer sites across the globe? Machine Solutions is seeking a Field Service Technician to join our growing team and help deliver exceptional service and support to customers worldwide.
In this role, you will be a key member of our Field Service team, supporting the installation, maintenance, repair, upgrade, and training needs of our customers. You'll work with sophisticated automation and manufacturing equipment, collaborating with engineering, quality, and operations teams to ensure customer success and continuous product improvement.
Travel requirement: 50%+ domestic and international travel.
What You'll Do:
Customer Support & Service
Provide world-class support to customers through onsite visits, remote troubleshooting, email, phone, and in-house customer visits.
Manage assigned customer cases from initial assignment through successful resolution.
Respond quickly and professionally to customer inquiries, support requests, and equipment issues.
Build strong customer relationships while delivering an exceptional service experience.
Equipment Installation & Maintenance
Lead and support equipment installations, upgrades, and commissioning activities.
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and unscheduled equipment repairs.
Complete complex field upgrades, including mechanical modifications and software updates.
Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and software-related equipment issues.
Apply advanced technical knowledge to diagnose root causes and implement effective solutions.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.
Support customers with equipment operation, maintenance, and best practices.
Assist with Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) and customer demonstrations.
Partner with Engineering, Quality, Operations, and other teams to resolve complex issues and improve product performance.
Create and maintain service documentation, troubleshooting guides, and preventive maintenance procedures.
Identify opportunities to improve training programs, service procedures, and product quality.
Mentor and guide junior Field Service Technicians.
Education & Experience
One of the following combinations is required:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field and 2–4 years of field service experience; or
Associate degree, technical/vocational training, or equivalent and 3–5 years of field service experience; or
An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Technical Skills
Strong troubleshooting abilities in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and software systems.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and engineering blueprints.
Familiarity with automated equipment and control systems.
Comfortable learning through technical documentation and video-based training.
Skilled in problem-solving, root cause analysis, and data interpretation.
Communication Skills
Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
Ability to create reports, technical documentation, and customer communications.
Strong presentation and customer-facing skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Additional language skills are a plus.
Travel Requirements
Valid driver's license with the ability to drive internationally.
Ability to obtain and maintain a passport without restrictions.
Willingness to travel 50% or more, including international destinations.

What Physical Requirements are needed:
This position is highly active and requires frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, crouching, and working around industrial equipment. Team members may occasionally lift up to 40 pounds and must be able to safely work in manufacturing and customer-site environments while following all safety protocols and PPE requirements.
