  • Communicate directly with customers to assess service needs, explain findings, and provide solutions.

  • Deliver informal on-the-job training to customer personnel on system operation and maintenance.

  • Establish and maintain strong customer relationships, representing the organization with professionalism.

  • Independently manage field diagnostics, repair, maintenance, and upgrade activities.

  • Determine efficient and cost-effective repair solutions to minimize downtime.

  • Perform fault isolation and troubleshooting to the component level using diagnostic tools (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.).

  • Trace and resolve wiring, cabling, and connectivity faults.

  • Interpret and apply technical documentation, schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings.

  • Perform system and sub-system functional testing to validate performance and identify issues.

  • Prepare detailed service reports documenting diagnostics, repairs, parts used, and failure trends using Microsoft Word.

  • Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to resolve complex issues and support continuous improvement.

  • Prepare tools, materials, and test equipment for field assignments.

  • Coordinate and execute domestic and occasional international travel.

  • Complete required export documentation prior to travel.

  • Operate company, customer, and rental vehicles as required.

Job Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree or trade education in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electro Mechanical Systems, or related discipline preferred.

  • 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in field service, electronics repair, or electro-mechanical troubleshooting.

  • Previous experience as a Field Service Technician, Automotive, Aviation, Diesel, or similar technical role.

  • Background in electronics, electro-mechanical systems, or equivalent military technical training.

  • Strong troubleshooting and repair experience on complex electrical, mechanical, and basic software systems.

  • Working knowledge of wiring, cabling, connectors, and diagnostic tools.

  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documentation.

  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

  • Physical ability to lift up to 55 pounds, stand for extended periods, and access elevated or confined installations.

  • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 25%–60%, including short-notice assignments, domestic and occasionally international.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior military technical experience related to EO/IR, sensors, avionics, or surveillance systems.

  • Hands-on experience with EO/IR sensors, thermal imaging systems, or optronics technologies.
