What You'll Do:

As a Field Service Technician, you'll be the trusted technical expert customers rely on to keep their wastewater pumping equipment and control systems operating safely and efficiently. Using a company-provided service vehicle, you'll travel to customer sites to install, troubleshoot, maintain, and commission critical equipment that supports local water infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair PLC-controlled equipment, electrical systems, and control panels

  • Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, and controls-related issues in the field

  • Perform equipment start-ups, commissioning, and operational testing

  • Service submersible wastewater pumps, pumping stations, and related control systems

  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control logic

  • Complete preventive maintenance, repairs, and emergency service work

  • Document service activities, findings, and work performed accurately

  • Maintain a safe work environment and follow all safety procedures

  • Build strong customer relationships through professional communication and technical expertise

  • Travel throughout the assigned service territory

  • Participation in a paid on-call rotation that may include occasional evenings, weekends, and emergency response calls

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

  • Ability to work independently in a customer-facing environment

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams

  • Willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory and respond to emergency service calls as needed

  • Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, motor vehicle record review, and DOT physical

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in field service, industrial maintenance, electrical, controls, or related technical work

  • Experience troubleshooting electrical systems, PLC-controlled equipment, and control panels

  • Familiarity with wastewater pumping systems, industrial equipment, or water/wastewater processes

  • Experience using Microsoft Office and mobile technology for service documentation

  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and identifying potential hazards
