Travel to customer sites for system startups, media replacement, and system issues that can't be resolved remotely.
Train customers on how to operate equipment, which includes review of O&M manual.
Provide onsite technical support for the purpose of troubleshooting and resolving system issues of a mechanical, electrical or process nature.
Work closely with engineering and project management team members, when appropriate to ensure a successful system start up and/or resolve customer technical issue.
Estimated 75% travel required.
When not on the road, expected to work onsite.
This position primarily works outdoors, in all types of weather, and in potentially hazardous environments, which may involve exposure to dangerous chemicals. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and ladder climbing all day. The employee must frequently li t and/or move items over 60 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
A Trade school certification is strongly preferred.
A minimum of 3 years field service-related work experience, preferably in a water treatment environment. Candidates with water treatment, experience should have a working knowledge of drinking and process water treatment systems, membrane systems, filter systems, components, and ancillary equipment.
Successful candidates will need to have a strong mechanical aptitude to identify and resolve system issues Proven ability to address difficult customer interactions in a positive and productive manner; • Electrical controls and instrumentation competency preferred, PLC knowledge a plus; • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word; • Experience commissioning of equipment is preferred.
