About the Role:

The Field Service Technician 2 plays a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of complex equipment and systems at customer sites across the United States. This position involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining advanced technical machinery, often requiring travel to diverse locations and working independently in the field. The technician will collaborate closely with customers to understand their needs, provide timely solutions, and deliver exceptional service that minimizes downtime. Additionally, the role demands meticulous documentation of service activities and adherence to safety and quality standards. Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in electronics, mechanics, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in field service, equipment maintenance, or a related technical role.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to travel frequently within assigned territory.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills with the ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, hand tools, and electronic testing equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or higher in Electronics, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline..
  • Previous ATM, Smart Safe experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in remote or challenging environments.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a track record of building positive client relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of specialized equipment and systems at customer locations.
  • Conduct thorough diagnostics to identify issues and implement effective solutions promptly to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Communicate clearly with customers to explain technical problems and the steps taken to resolve them, ensuring a positive service experience.
  • Maintain accurate records of service calls, parts used, and repairs performed using company software and reporting tools.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while working independently or as part of a team in various field environments.

The required skills enable the technician to effectively diagnose and repair complex equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and high reliability for customers. Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills are applied daily to identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
