Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Repair and maintain construction equipment at various job sites
- Travel regularly to customer locations
- Disassemble, clean, and reassemble equipment
- Follow service manuals, specifications, and proper tool usage
- Inspect and measure parts to determine reuse or replacement needs
- Order parts as necessary
- Use diagnostic and testing equipment to adjust machines and systems
- Complete warranty reports and make recommendations
- Perform minor welding, fabrication, plumbing alignment, and DC electrical repairs
- Supervise and assist team members with equipment repairs
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment
- Complete service reports in English
- Assist with parts ordering and warranty processing
- Manage work orders (open/close, process revenue jobs, obtain purchase orders)
- Communicate job status, progress, and issues with customers
- Handle incoming service calls
- Support special projects as needed
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist the Service Manager with various tasks
- Maintain a clean workspace and service truck
Physical Requirements & Work Conditions
- Frequently walk on uneven terrain
- Lift 50+ lbs regularly
- Use hands and arms to operate tools and equipment
- Bend, reach, and work in various positions (standing, sitting, kneeling, lying under equipment)
- Climb in and out of heavy equipment
- Read service materials and operate machinery
- Communicate effectively via radio, phone, and in person
- Ability to hear and identify mechanical issues for safety
Qualifications & Skills
- Valid Class A license required
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word; other Office programs a plus)
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to operate standard office equipment
