About the job

Alfa Laval Iberica is looking for a new Field Service Team Manager for Service Operation Organization reporting directly to the Field Service Manager.

As Field Service Team Manager, you will lead the Service transformation in a team almost than 10 Field Service Technician, for decanters and heat exchangers jobs. The main responsibilities will be to bring focused leadership to a team of service engineers in order to maintain operational capability whilst balancing the needs of the customer, business and the team.

Support and coordinate team members to:

- Create an excellent customer experience

- Meet the Service market demands

The main tasks will be:

  • Lead the team giving the direction and ensuring that they are performing with a strong​ customer orientated mindset​
  • Develop, motivate, and coach direct reports and secure a proper competence development ​
  • Conduct FSE’s employee reviews, include competence profile and skills matrix updates​ accordingly​
  • Ensure effective management of people in remote areas​
  • Sometimes you will have to Execute all services of our 360º service portfolio on specific products, modules and systems​
  • Work together with Service Coordinator for planning the field service activities and selecting FSE’s with the correct skills for right and complex jobs​

  • Persistent, flexible, and resilient, with high level of energy and pro-activeness.
  • Passionate about leading, developing, and motivating teams, and a change driver, making and executing the decisions.

What you know

  • You should have a degree/diploma in Engineering or Similar (equivalent Spanish diploma FP Superior)
  • At least 5 years of experience leading teams of technicians
  • Strong experience in Service, maintenance, repair, and assistance process.
  • We value knowledge in Alfa Laval equipment, mainly decanters
  • Experience in Sales Process will be very valuable.
  • Residence in Madrid
  • English and Spanish languages (Spoken and written). Portuguese is a nice to have.
