We are seeking an experienced Field Services Representative (FSR) to join our team based at RAAF Base Amberley This role offers the opportunity to leverage your deep aviation maintenance expertise while working alongside Defence customers, industry partners and highly skilled Northrop Grumman professionals in a dynamic operational environment.
About the Opportunity
As a Field Services Representative, you will act as a trusted technical advisor, providing specialist maintenance and troubleshooting support to Defence aviation maintenance organisations. You will work closely with customers and stakeholders to maximise aircraft availability, serviceability and operational readiness.
This highly autonomous role combines technical expertise, customer engagement, mentoring and problem-solving, making it ideal for an experienced aviation professional looking to broaden their impact beyond traditional maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities
Provide expert technical advice and troubleshooting support to maintenance teams.
Participate in a 24/7 AOG support roster.
Deliver mentoring and technical training to maintenance personnel.
Support aircraft maintenance activities at base and deployed locations.
Partner with Defence, OEM and industry stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
Develop practical solutions to improve aircraft availability and reliability.
Contribute to technical instructions, maintenance procedures and continuous improvement initiatives.
Build strong customer relationships and act as a trusted technical advisor.
About You
You are a collaborative aviation professional who enjoys solving complex technical problems and working closely with customers. You thrive in operational environments and have the credibility and communication skills to guide stakeholders at all levels.
Essential requirements include:
Extensive aviation maintenance troubleshooting experience within operational aircraft environments.
Minimum 5 years' experience as certifying maintenance staff.
Demonstrated knowledge of Defence Aviation Safety Regulations (DASR).
Strong technical analysis and problem-solving capability.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to mentor, coach and develop maintenance personnel.
Ability to obtain and maintain an NV1 Security Clearance
Ability to obtain and maintain relevant Defence and aviation access requirements, including ASIC accreditation.
