Job Description

The role is a professional role within water treatment and different process industries. The focus will be on providing value to our customers with sustainable chemical treatment and monitoring solutions. She or he retains recurring business at accounts and creates opportunities at existing accounts for long-term profitable growth while at the same time executing the services required by her- / himself.

The work is conducted partly on an industrial site in Kalundborg area, where several regular on-site service days per week (3-5 days) are mandatory. The main work tasks include following up on ongoing Veolia chemical treatments on site by doing sample collection, laboratory analysis, process data analysis and reporting.

Essential responsibilities

The following activities are a guideline; others can be part of the job scope:

  • Comply with integrity and safety as required by Veolia policies.
  • Onsite service visits several days per week (3-5 days). This work consists of chemical consumption monitoring, water sampling, and laboratory analysis.
  • Communicate and work closely with the responsible Account Manager about the site visit results and findings, and preparing customer reports.
  • First line trouble shooting for Cooling, Boiler, Water & Waste and Industrial process treatment applications
  • Frequent review of agreed Key Performance Indicators with the customer in close cooperation with the Account Manager
  • Project coordination
  • Report all work related accidents (including vehicle), diseases, dangerous occurrences, near misses, incidents and damage to property to Line Manager and EHS Manager, preferably through Gensuite.
  • Actively drive the ecological transformation by partnering with our customers to deliver on sustainability targets through implementation of the Veolia technologies.
  • Identify and discuss a solution with both internal team and customer that best fits the customer´s requirements. Understands and is able to leverage product technology as a competitive advantage, consulting technical experts as needed. Effectively communicates the results and importance to our customer with all buying influences.
  • Participate in the local team meetings to share best practices
  • Manage differentiating sales initiatives and execute our strategy

Qualifications

  • A B.Sc. or higher degree in preferably Chemical Engineering. A strong Chemical background is required.
  • Excellent presentation and accurate reporting skills
  • Strong flexibility and problem solving skills
  • Fluent in local language and English both verbal and written

There is also potential for development into a commercial Account Manager role in the future. In the Account Manager role she or he:

  • Retains recurring business at accounts and creates opportunities at existing accounts for long-term profitable growth while at the same time executing the services required by her- / himself.
  • She or he develops strong relationships at our major accounts in the assigned geographic area.
  • The ultimate goal is to achieve business targets and objectives by obtaining customer retention, manage price and drive new sales by delivering sustainability and value to our high valued customers. This requests a strong technical expertise combined with a good commercial strategy and tactics.
  • Identify/sell water and processing solutions and/or products to drive/expand new business, grow existing customers.

  • Agree on any non-standard terms and conditions beyond the standards provided by the business without having the prior appropriate approvals based on the current Delegation Of Authority guidelines;
  • Quote products that are not designed for customer treatment programs by the Veolia Water Technologies & Solutions (WTS) Applications Guide, and to quote products that are not on the assigned product range for the region;
  • Commit to any performance guarantees or bonds that impact the overall profit of the specific Veolia WTS treatment program nor accept liability for any cost reported to have incurred by the operation of a Veolia WTS treatment program.
